The Warm Simplicity Hidden Within

Concept

Amid the bustling Kingkaew–Suvarnabhumi road,
Hidden Holme Café quietly hides itself from the city rush.
It becomes a calm refuge — simple, warm, and unpretentious.

Inspired by the idea of “Home & Hideaway,”
the architect envisioned a space that feels like returning home —
a soft balance between raw materials and gentle light,
where simplicity brings a sense of calm rather than emptiness.

Architecture & Interior

The 100-square-meter café features an open and continuous spatial layout.
From the warm wooden doors to the polished concrete counter,
every element is designed for light to flow naturally through the space.

The combination of exposed concrete and light wood
creates harmony between raw and refined textures.
Horizontal openings frame greenery and daylight,
while every detail — from the joint line to the surface finish —
reveals the project’s core idea of honesty in materials.

Material & Tone

Only three materials define the atmosphere:

·       Concrete — grounding the space with calm solidity

·       Light Wood — adding warmth and tactility

·       White Wall — a neutral canvas where light becomes decoration

Together, they produce a soft, timeless palette that changes mood throughout the day.

Spatial Experience

Circulation is designed as a gentle reveal —

from the main hall to the concrete steps and intimate seating corners.

Subtle level differences define zones without barriers,

inviting visitors to wander, pause, and feel at home within the quiet rhythm of space.

Quote

“Simplicity is not emptiness — it’s refinement to the essential.”

SA-ARD Perspective

Hidden Holme Café exemplifies how ordinary materials

can evoke extraordinary calmness.

For SA-ARD, beauty is not in addition — it’s in revelation.

Simplicity becomes the medium where warmth quietly resides.
