A Family Café Where Coffee Meets the Sound of a Guitar
Concept
Located near Wonnapha Beach, Chonburi,
SWAN specialty coffee & bistro was born from a family’s shared love for coffee, food, and togetherness.
The name SWAN derives from the family’s surname —
symbolizing grace, calm, and connection — while also echoing the sound of its seaside location.
Beyond its carefully curated specialty coffee,
the bistro serves home-cooked dishes prepared by the owner’s mother using fresh local ingredients,
creating a cozy dining experience for all generations.
Design Story
Designed by SA-ARD architecture & branding,
the café was envisioned as a second home —
a place where family members and guests can relax, talk, and share moments together.
The concept draws inspiration from the owner’s passion for classical guitar.
The existing garage of the family house was transformed into a café space,
where the curved wooden counter mimics the guitar’s silhouette.
This gentle curvature continues through the ceiling lines and built-in seating,
creating a soft rhythm throughout the interior.
A set of sheer circular curtains subtly divides the café and bistro zones,
allowing light and movement to flow freely while offering a sense of intimacy and calm.
Material & Atmosphere
The material palette combines light oak wood, matte plaster walls, gray tiles, and subtle brass trims.
Together, they evoke a sense of simplicity, precision, and warmth.
Large windows flood the space with natural light,
revealing the tactile quality of each surface.
Touches of navy blue — seen in the stools and the logo —
add rhythm and contrast, much like the melody line in a musical piece.
Experience
SWAN is more than a café — it is a family space in architectural form,
where music, light, and craft compose a quiet harmony.
Every curve, every seat, and every cup of coffee reflects a story of warmth and connection.
SA-ARD Perspective
“At SWAN, beauty isn’t added — it emerges naturally through connection.
From the curve of the counter to the laughter it hosts,
every detail reflects the quiet rhythm of family life.”
